TELECOMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT WITH SOFTEL
CALL STORAGE
Calls ares stored inside a buffer wich is equipped with battery back-up. The SOFTEL
software allows the administrator to dump data into an IBM-PC micro-computer whenever
required.

RESOURCE
MANAGEMENT
The use of ressources such as WATS, FX and TIE TRUNKS can be analysed with the SOFTEL
system. Consequently, the administrator may determine if changes to the telephone system
are required and save call costs.

COST
DISTRIBUTION
SOFTEL automaticaly lists calls made from every extension, according
to Department and Service. Cost distribution may then be analyzed by the administrator.

DATA SECURITY
SOFTEL uses an IBM-PC indexed file system which ensures complete data
security, with automatic data recovery.

CONTROL OF
MISUSE
Through SOFTEL, the abuse of Directory Assistance facilities can be
spotted; the icorrect of long distance resources (i.e. WATS, FX, etc.) as well as lengthly
telephone conversations can also be identified. Local calls cans also be monitered.

INTERNAL
DIRECTORY
The internal directory is required to produce management reports. It is also possible
to generate directory lists by name or extension number. The administrator may request
aggregate lists or lists divided according to Corporate Structure.

EASE OF
OPERATION
The SOFTEL system is entirely menu driven. The system administrator
can maximize the efficiency of this management tool quickly and easily.

COST ALLOCATION
SOFTEL reports may be set-up to allow the selective application of
additional communication charges (i.e. surcharge for operator handled calls).

RATE TABLES
The SOFTEL system contains rate tables and V & H coordinates used
by Telephone Companies. These rates are updated regularly by JFB MicroSystems Inc. The
user has access to these tables, and can modify them himself using the configuration menu.

MULTI-LOCATION
INSTALLATION
A single software program will manage multi-location installations. SOFTEL
can generate reports at one central location, with a buffer and modem at each remote site.

ACCOUNT CODES
SOFTEL makes it possible to list the details of calls by project
number. Specific projects may be given account codes which will help compute communication
related costs for each project.

MODULAR SYSTEM
SOFTEL's modular design allows the addition of numerous optional
modules, providing greater flexibility. These modules can be added any time, without
affecting the basic structure of the system.
