| The SERVOX Transporter -Coordination series was specifically designed to assist in
coordinating the transporter assignments using the existing phone system. It optimizes the
priority of the requests and the itinerary of all transporters available, thus minimizing
the elapsed time to patient pick-up.

HIGHLIGHTS
Automated
assignment
Our Transporter Coordination System allows a
user to place a request for transport by dialing an internal extension number to reach the
SERVOX system.
Using the keypad of his telephone, the caller enters the
originating location (if no caller-id available), the type of transport required and the
destination location. The applicant can also record any special instructions he or she
wishes to convey to the porter.
As soon as a transporter becomes available, he or she calls SERVOX. SERVOX
will then ask him or her to confirm that the previous assignment has been completed,
provided the caller had received a previous assignment. Then, SERVOX will present the next pending assignment, if any,
along with the playback of any recorded messages.
Allocation by priority and
reduced travel time
The system can be configured to favor either waiting times,
travel time, transportation types, departments or any combination of these. Thus, SERVOX continually evaluates and orders the relative
position of the pending requests.
SERVOX allocates all requests based on the chosen algorithms, while giving priority
to emergency or priority calls. Furthermore, if a request is made for a transport
requiring 2 or more transporters, the systems will automatically generate a second
top-priority request.
Staff can call SERVOX
any time and review pending requests for their department.
Statistics
The SERVOX
server has management features such as a real-time browser which allows keeping an eye on
the status of the pending requests.
The basic system also includes a client program to be
installed on workstations linked to the LAN of the institution, giving access to the
display screen showing all pending requests.
Furthermore, as the information on every call is stored in a
database, the system manager can produce statistical reports on the quantity and frequency
of requests, response time, waiting time, and time allocated for each transport,
transporter statistics, etc.
OPTIONS
Pro-active
system
This option makes it possible for the SERVOX system, following the reception of a request, to
contact a transporter either by pager or portable phone (cellular or other) to transmit
the assignment. This assignment will have been optimized in accordance with the other
pending requests, the time travel associated with the transport and the relative position
of the transporter
Resquesting a transport through a PC (network) station
This option allows an applicant to enter a transport request
into SERVOX through a client program
installed at his workstation, thus eliminating the necessity to use the phone to place a
request. The user also has a permanent visual feedback of the pending calls.
External readerboard
The installation of a readerboard in the transporters’
waiting room makes it possible for them to immediately see the number of pending requests
as well as the longest waiting delay without having to call SERVOX
.
An audible beep can be used to bring attention to pending
requests. |
